The lounge on board the MD Buzzards Bay is a passenger's best friend. The seat height gives good visibility out the windows, the seat base is of the proper height, and the backrest gently sloped for relaxation, and the unit is positioned to minimize apparent motion.  

The lounge lends a substantial amount of storage to the MD Buzzards Bay. With approximately 42 cubic feet of stowage capacity, the significant cargo weight this can equate to is positioned in the middle of the vessel to minimize any affect on handling. Much of this stowage space is accessed from the cockpit through two large hatches. Forward under the seat cushion is another large hatch for easy access to the remaining areas.

A well-crafted table resides here, equipped with two folding leaves; a gas charged adjustable height pedestal, as well as a horizontal slide. This configuration offers great flexibility, quickly changing from a dining table to a second berth.

A large sliding window outboard and aft provides great ventilaition capacity and control.
